Is my facility a good candidate for an energy efficiency system?

Most facilities that consume at least $10,000 per month in electricity have some opportunities for energy savings. Heavy users of electricity are more likely to have larger savings opportunities. Such users include hospital & healthcare facilities, manufacturing sites, cold storage, hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, large retail, and other commercial real estate sites. We can quickly determine if our system makes sense for your facility at no cost or obligation to you.

Unfortunately, we currently do not provide services to residential electricity users.

Are you trying to re-negotiate my electric contract?

No, we install energy-saving devices to reduce your electric consumption. We need to see your bills to understand your usage history and estimate how much we can save.

How do you guarantee savings?

Before we install anything, we estimate a minimum savings amount and put it in our contract. After we install our system, we analyze your bill every month using the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP), a standard created under a U.S. Department of Energy initiative to measure energy efficiency savings. If we can't reach the minimum savings by the end of the contract period, we will pay the difference. Our guarantee is backed by an insurance policy from Lloyd's of London and has been in place for 17 years.

What experience do you have with my type of business?

We represent an engineering company with 30 years of experience and over 70,000 installations and have experience in almost every type of business imaginable, ranging from small buildings with $10,000 per month in electric bills to large manufacturing plants with several million dollars per month in electric bills. We draw on decades of accumulated experience for each installation.

What types of energy-saving devices do you use?

We have several different types of technologies but focus mainly on (a) reducing distribution loss from inductive motors, (b) HVAC and refrigeration compressor optimizers, (c) HVAC and refrigerator lubricant additives to improve heat exchange and reduce friction, and (d) lighting controllers. We can also do lighting retrofits as part of our installation.

I can't afford to disrupt my business or maintain new electrical equipment.

All of our equipment is under warranty and fail-safe. Our technologies are passive and will not affect your current operation. We work around your shift schedules to install our devices with minimal business disruption.

Will I receive rebates for my project?

Investor-owned utilities in Texas are required to provide energy efficiency incentives to commercial & industrial customers. Standard Offer Programs have been implemented at the larger utilities. Typical qualification requirements for these incentives include peak demand of at least 100 kW at one facility, or at least 250 kW at multiple facilities.

Rebates typically include incentives for peak demand reduction ($175-$200 per kW) as well as per kWh reduced (around $0.06). The savings methodology we use is the standard verification process for measuring energy efficiency savings for most utilities. We work with all clients to determine rebate eligibility and to obtain such rebates.
